You Be The Judge – Heather Cox Richardson is a historian the provides regular commentary on current political events happening around the world and in the USA that will have an impact on society writ large. In her August 19 blog, she noted the difference between the Republican and Democrat platform reports. Rather than provide you with a commentary on the two documents, I thought I should make it easy for all of my readings to access each of them. You should review for yourself the platforms for the two competitors and determine which provides the best map forward for our democracy. In other words, rather than me or anyone else being the judge of what is said and laid out for the future…you be the judge!!
Also, if you’re interested, here is the Project 2025 Report outlining the “wish list for a Trump Presidency” published by the Heritage Foundation. It’s a bit lengthy at 920 pages but provides sufficient detail to outline where some who are quite close to the former President and the Republican Party believe the nation should go. Or, you can go to the “Readers Digest” version of the Project 2025 Report. I have not found a similar document for the Democrats. If I find it, I’ll let you know.
